This classic hummus recipe is a delicious and healthy dip that's perfect for parties or snacking. It's creamy, flavorful, and easy to make!
Ingredients:
- 1 15-ounce can of chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice 1 large lemon
- 1/4 cup well-stirred tahini
- 1 small garlic clove, minced
- 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil, plus more for serving
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- Salt to taste
- 2 to 3 tablespoons water
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika, for serving
- Chopped fresh parsley, for serving
Instructions:
Put chickpeas, lemon juice, tahini, garlic that has been minced, olive oil, ground cumin, and a pinch of salt in a food processor
If you need to, scrape down the sides of the bowl as you go to make sure the mixture stays smooth
If the hummus is too thick, add 2 to 3 tablespoons of water at a time and blend until the consistency you want is reached
If you think it needs more salt or lemon juice, taste it and add more of either
Put the hummus in a serving bowl and top it with chopped fresh parsley
Drizzle extra-virgin olive oil over the top and sprinkle paprika on top
You can eat it with pita bread, fresh vegetables, or any other dips you like
